Practice mindfulness

If you’re afraid of flying, the mere idea of getting on a plane is likely to open the floodgates for a torrent of anxious thoughts. The key to stopping these thoughts from getting the better of you? Mindfulness. Focus on your breath. Inhale, exhale and when thoughts arise, simply label them as “thinking” without passing judgment, then let them go.

 

Recognize that fear is separate from danger
